Our standard PullPod unit comes with a range of features included in the price. Each of these are detailed below and they can also be seen within our gallery for more images. Some of our features are upgradable and we have signalled which ones you are able to upgrade within our list below.
Combination Sink with twin hob unit with micro switch tap.
All our pods now come with the CAN FL1401 combination sink with 2 burner hob and a split glass lid.
22ah gel battery wired via a split charge relay, this battery is included with the standard pod and fitted in the unit beside the water containers, we have sold very few with this as most customers choose to upgrade to a 100ah battery that can be fitted underneath the drivers or passengers single seat. We can wire all camping and lighting electrics to this battery so you will never draw power from your engine start battery. If you have a T6 the split charger will have to be upgraded to a dc to dc charger due to euro 6 smart charge systems.
The included split charge system will be run to your original van battery. If you have a T6 the split charger will have to be upgraded to a dc to dc charger due to euro 6 smart charge systems. we use the Sterling dc to dc charger.
Kitchen unit slides out 1200mm with ease. The units are available in anthracite or white you can mix this up so you could have white units with anthracite top and base or vice versa. We have now designed and installed a locking device to all pull pod systems to enable the user to lock the unit in its fully out position this enables the pod to be used when the van is pointing slightly down hill.
Heavy duty 100kg drawer slides. We have tested dozens of these and have found a European made runner that is very reliable. The kitchen unit is very sturdy and cantilevers off the frame, the frame is an integral part of this strength. It does not require a support leg but the user must not overload the unit.
Traditional camping gas screw on cylinders, cheap and easy to replace and recyclable.
5 litre fresh and waste water containers.
12v outlets, cigarette socket, 2x usb, with voltmeter, connect your phone whilst you're asleep.
Optional upgrade to a full width bed board that is scribed to fit your van.
Many of our features are upgradable and below you can see a range of upgrades for the PullPod.
Standard pod comes with a 1200mm wide bed board this can be upgraded to a full width bed that uses 2x 800x2000 mattresses. This system gives a huge bed but does mean that the pod system is more of a fixed unit as the bed boards need to be removed before the pod can be removed from the van.
This pull out platform is 600x 1300 and uses the same 100kg runners as the kitchen unit, it has proved very popular and can be used with storage boxes (great for shopping bags) we can also install a fridge on this platform should the user require a larger fridge.
Dometic CD30 drawer fridge.
this fridge is a compressor fridge this means it will cool down warm items quickly other fridges known as absorption fridges are not very good at cooling down items these are really designed for keeping cold items cold. this fridge is installed on its own independent runners so it can be stowed away right at the back of the pod and then drawn forward for access.

This fridge can only be used in conjunction with our pull out platform, it is fitted to the rear part of the platform and can be accessed with the platform pulled out.
Curtains for kombi van side windows and tailgate. We have tested lots of different curtains over the years and we have found these the best.
The pod system can be used in SWB or LWB, this photo shows the second row of seats moved back so the front seat catch is mounted in the rear floor bracket this then allows the bed to be folded onto the seat frame. This is only done whilst camping and should be moved back during transit. The pod works great in LWB as there is around 400mm extra space in front of the bed.
T6 owners will have to upgrade to a sterling dc to dc split charger due to the euro 6 smart charge systems.
We can finish your worktop in any automotive colour of your choice, we have a body shop on site with a Valspar mixing scheme so the choice is endless. finishes can be ultra high gloss, semi gloss or matt.
this is a painted surface same as your car or van so can scratch easily.
